Auditions for Actors, Singers, and Dancers

Time to spritz your tonsils and break out those dancing shoes!

We are musical, we are satirical, we are theatrical. We are Hexagon. Our all-volunteer membership makes up the cast, crew, orchestra, front of house, and production team. We would love to have you join us.

Auditions will be held at Woodrow Wilson High School, 3950 Chesapeake St. NW, Washington DC 20016. Enter through the front entrance doors and follow the signs to auditions. CLICK HERE or on the photo to be taken to Google Maps.

Prepare a short song (our accomplished accompanist will play your sheet music), choose a number from one of our song books, or just sing “Happy Birthday.” Also, be prepared to learn some simple group movements. (Not sure what constitutes a “group movement”? Watch some of the video excerpts from previous shows – follow the links on our home page.) And political impersonators are always welcome!

Every year since 1956, Hexagon has put on Washington’s only all-original revue (Unlike those other political satirical revues, we write our own skits, lyrics & music). Our mission is to use theatrical arts to improve the lives of others within our community. Hexagon has donated more than $3.5 million to 40-plus local area charities.

The overall show vision is conceived and the various pieces are coming together – skits, lyrics, music, sets, technical components. But the show still lacks that vital spark that will give it life – a talented cast. We need your talents to give voice to the songs, mirth to the jokes, and joy to the dance. So come to audition – and bring a relative…and a friend…and a coworker (well, you get the idea) to audition with you!
