Hexagon's sellout audience is a diverse, appreciative crowd of all ages and professions, including senators, representatives, Hill staffers, and other politically influential Washingtonians. In fact, during our annual Congress Night performance, lawmakers actually take part on stage with us, and the house is packed with fellow congressmen and supporters!

Throughout the fun and laughter, the charitable mission of Hexagon is never forgotten. All proceeds from all shows and many of our social events are donated to charity. In addition, members are continually presented with opportunities to volunteer with a charity directly -- to help out with a toy drive, tutor, or deliver meals.

There are many ways to have fun while making a difference: as a Hexagon member (e.g., cast, crew, front of house, orchestra, writer), as a sponsor (corporate/individual), or as an advertiser.

There are many benefits to Hexagon membership. Perhaps the most important is becoming part of a tradition of using laughter, music, and creativity to improve the lives of others. For those drawn to the stage, Hexagon provides its members with the chance to sing, dance, and act in an original satirical musical revue whose sketches have entertained tens of thousands of people since 1956.

For those who don't seek center stage, there are opportunities to learn and use technical theater skills, such as lighting, sound, and set design.

Members also serve as ushers, play in the orchestra, and staff the house and box office. Because each Hexagon revue is an original production, there are numerous opportunities to exercise your creativity--developing scripts, composing music, and writing lyrics.

Some say that our social events are the best benefit of all. Hexagon attracts people from all walks of life. Our membership comprises Hill staffers, teachers, lawyers, retired professors, homemakers, and foreign embassy personnel. Hexagon hosts several parties throughout the Washington area during the year. Highlights of each year's social calendar include a formal holiday party in December and a black-tie charity gala during the run of the show in March.
