Prepare a short song (our accomplished accompanist will play your sheet music), choose a number from one of our song books, or just sing “Happy Birthday.” Also, be prepared to learn some simple group movements. (Not sure what constitutes a “group movement”? Watch some of the video excerpts from previous shows – follow the links on our home page.) And political impersonators are always welcome!

Every year since 1956, Hexagon has put on Washington’s only all-original revue (Unlike those other political satirical revues, we write our own skits, lyrics & music). Our mission is to use theatrical arts to improve the lives of others within our community. Hexagon has donated more than $3.5 million to 40-plus local area charities.

Hexagon, Best of Show winner at the 2017 Capital Fringe Festival Audience Awards, and DC’s only all-original political satirical musical comedy revue charity show, is returning to the Capital Fringe Festival this July! Come audition to join the Hexagon 2018 Company in one of DC’s best and most anticipated summer events!

Please prepare 16-32 bars of a comedic song for your audition (No Sondheim, please). If you choose, you can in addition present a 30 second contemporary comedic monologue. If you can do impressions of contemporary pop culture or political figures, please include that in your auditions in lieu of the comedic monologue. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes. You may be asked to dance/move.

Please register for an audition slot at TinyURL.com/HexFringeAudition18

Hexagon, an all-volunteer organization, is an inclusive group. We welcome talented and passionate individuals regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender and gender identity/expression, orientation, age, or disability. Theater is enhanced by diversity along a number of dimensions, and we are striving to build a diverse and talented cast.
