Our Beneficiary for 2018:
The Grassroot Project (TGP) is the main initiative of : Athletes United for Social Justice: Using Sports to Change the World.
TGP uses the power of sports and the platform of athlete role models to educate, inspire, and mobilize youth to live healthy lives. TGP aims to combat the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Washington, DC by educating at-risk youth about the virus, prevention of its spread, stigma and general sexual health. They will reach 900 students with their programs during the current school year. Their curriculum utilizes NCAA Division I varsity athletes encompassing athletes from Georgetown University, George Washington University, Howard University and the University of Maryland.
